Pink Floyd celebram 50 anos de Wish You Were Here com edição de luxo inédita

Os Pink Floyd vão assinalar o 50.º aniversário de Wish You Were Here com uma edição especial que chega às lojas no dia 12 de dezembro. O álbum de 1975, um dos mais icónicos da história da música, regressa agora em vários formatos – CD, vinil, Blu-ray, digital e uma caixa deluxe – trazendo pela primeira vez uma mistura em Dolby Atmos e material raro nunca antes editado.

No centro da coleção estão seis versões alternativas e demos inéditas, incluindo uma primeira gravação de “Welcome to the Machine”, então intitulada The Machine Song. O lançamento inclui ainda misturas instrumentais, versões alternativas de Wish You Were Here e um Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-9) completo e remisturado em estéreo por James Guthrie.

Além do álbum original, os fãs terão acesso a 25 faixas bónus, entre raridades de estúdio e gravações ao vivo captadas em 1975 na Los Angeles Sports Arena, agora restauradas por Steven Wilson. O Blu-ray acrescenta três filmes da digressão de 1975 e uma curta de Storm Thorgerson, coautor da lendária capa.

A Deluxe Box Set inclui todos os formatos (2CD, 3LP em vinil transparente, Blu-ray), mais um quarto LP com Live At Wembley 1974, réplica de single japonês, livro de capa dura com fotografias inéditas, programa em banda desenhada e cartaz de Knebworth.

Considerado um dos maiores clássicos do rock, Wish You Were Here sucedeu ao fenómeno global The Dark Side of the Moon e cimentou o estatuto planetário dos Pink Floyd. Com canções intemporais como “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, “Have a Cigar” ou a faixa-título, o álbum continua a figurar entre os melhores de sempre.

O anúncio é acompanhado pela disponibilização de The Machine Song (Demo #2, Revisited), uma gravação rara que antecipa a riqueza desta edição comemorativa.
